About me
I'm originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 2008. I began my post-secondary academic career in the field of computer science and purposefully chose to pursue a career in the therapeutic helping field in 2012. After 10 years of studies at Dawson College and McGill University, I became an empathetic, practical, and passionate Social Worker, Couple and Family Therapist, and Psychotherapist. I acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience through internships and fieldwork. I have gained extensive knowledge in the mental health, psychiatry, and suicidal crisis intervention field, and continuously cultivate my professional interest.
I have been trained in various therapeutic modalities such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I combine these different modalities to address issues related to self-exploration, interpersonal dynamics, relationship concerns, and grief. I prioritize a scientific, holistic, cultural, and systemic approach that considers individual experiences within broader social and cultural contexts

I aim to empower and assist individuals, couples, and families facing daily challenges and wanting to improve their well-being. I will help you to develop concrete strategies and effective skills with empathy and professionalism. I believe that "each person is the expert in their own life," and I respect unique needs, circumstances, experiences, emotions, and pace in the therapeutic process.
